Hi! I’m Taylor: passionate photographer, travel enthusiast, and a hard workin’ ranch hand!
I am a photographer based in Reno, Nevada, but my story began in Oklahoma where I grew up outside more than inside. About ten years ago I picked up a camera for the first time, shooting my friends’ bands and the occasional wedding. What started as a way to hang onto good memories slowly grew into something bigger, and over time my work has shifted toward the western world I have come to know well. These days my camera feels just as at home in the dust of a branding pen as it once did in a crowded music venue. Most of my work now leans western, but I do not limit myself to that alone. I still enjoy shooting product photography, bars and restaurants, weddings, engagements, and more. Every setting offers its own kind of magic and that’s something I truly love about doing this for living.
Over the past nine years I have lived in 13 different states, from the green mountains of Vermont, the coast of California, the wild terrain of Alaska, and the wide open fields of Missouri. Every place had its own character and left a mark on me, shaping how I see the world and how I capture it through a lens. For me the magic is in the small details, the little moments that tell the bigger story.
When I am not holding a camera, I am usually on a ranch with fencing pliers or a saddle in hand. Ranch work is not always glamorous but it is real. I have spent long days moving cattle, fixing fences that never seem to stay fixed, and laughing at myself when the weather wins. Ranch life taught me grit and humor, and I carry both into my photography. I would rather catch the honest stuff than stage a perfect scene. Muddy boots, a crooked smile, a horse shaking dust into the sun, or a sunset that sneaks up on you at the end of a hard day. That is the good stuff.
Working with me is simple. I want you to feel comfortable, not like you are being put under a spotlight. The best photos happen when you are relaxed, laughing, or just being yourself. Whether it is a portrait, an event, or a story you want told, I take the time to listen and make sure it feels right for you.
If you are looking for photos that are authentic, filled with story, and maybe a little dust and humor, I’d love to work with you.
